St Thomas’ is a little gem of a church. An unexpected oasis in the Epping Forest area nestled just between Waltham Abbey and Epping Town. We are proud of our history and traditions whilst seeking to embrace new ways of being church and community.
We are part of the Waltham Holy Cross Benefice which, as well as St Thomas’, includes Waltham Abbey, Holy Innocents Church, High Beach and St Lawrence, Ninefields.
What really makes St Thomas’ special? Well we have a stunning arts and crafts church that is packed with beautiful examples of early 20th century craftsmanship and we have a fantastic position on the hills overlooking London with amazing views across our capital. But what really makes St Thomas’ so special is its people. We are a family, we live and laugh and worship God together through the years. We may be small in number but we are big in heart and we are looking forward to meeting you.
