Safeguarding

St Thomas’ Church is committed to safeguarding.

St Thomas works to provide a safe environment for the whole church family, especially children, young people, vulnerable adults and abuse survivors.

We endeavour to be a place where all people, and especially those who may be vulnerable for any reason, are able to visit and worship in safety.

To aide us in doing this The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England website and also on the Diocese of Chelmsford website.

The Safeguarding officer for St Thomas Church is Sue McKinley. She can be contacted by telephone or email; details can be seen in the church or obtained from the Benefice Office 01992 767897.

If you have any immediate concerns about someones safety please contact the police or the Local Councils safeguarding team
