The church depends on donations and fund raising events in order to meet its day-to-day running costs and to develop and improve the church. There are a number of ways a donation can be made.
Regular giving:
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), which is a charitable company owned by the participating diocese. It is a direct-debit system.
To use the service please call the dedicated telephone number: 0333 002 1271. Lines are open Monday to Friday, between 9.00 and 5.00 p.m. Their website also provides an option to allow you to request a call back.
You will need to have your bank account details, church/parish name and PGS parish code to hand (our PGS code is 080608031).
You will be able to Gift Aid your donation, if eligible, and you will also be given the option to increase your giving annually, in line with inflation.
Donations can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis by Direct Debit on the 1st of the month. Even though the donations are made to the PGS they are restricted to the parish chosen by the donor and cannot be used elsewhere.
The donation is passed back to the parish by the 10th of the month. Gift Aid is sent separately once PGS has received it from HMRC. This is usually within a matter of days.
